Q. Does AOI perform the repairs?
A. All repairs are done at our headquarters in Lake Forest, California. AOI provides 40 years of combined experience in the repair and refurbishment of phaco handpieces and units.
Q. What do I need to do to have my handpiece repaired?
A. Contact AOI Customer Service to obtain an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. You may call us at 949.580.1266 or 800.876.1266 or you may fill out our online RGA Request Form.
Q. What is the cost of an evaluation of a phaco handpiece?
A. An AOI technician will conduct a FREE, thorough performance evaluation of your instrument.
Q. What if I need a working handpiece right away for surgery?
A. AOI offers a handpiece repair/exchange program to get you back into surgery.
Q. Does AOI have loaners?
A. No. The handpiece repair/exchange program is more cost effective (including less shipping costs for customer).
Q. What if I want to keep my own phaco handpiece?
A. AOI offers complete repair services with a quick turn-around.
Q. Does AOI offer service contracts?
A. AOI offers a variety of service contracts to meet your needs and budget. Please contact an AOI Customer Representative for more information.

A. AOI offers a variety of warranty periods to accommodate your budget. Please contact AOI Customer Service for more information.
Q. Will sending my phaco handpiece to AOI void my phaco unit warranty?
A. No. For example: buying tires from a tire store will not void the warranty on your vehicle.
Q. Does AOI offer technical support?
A. AOI has technicians ready to answer your questions Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Pacific Time).
Q. How do I care for our phaco handpieces?
A. AOI includes with each phaco handpiece a Phaco Handpiece Care and Maintenance sheet.
